Few (if any) destinations in Southeast Asia offer accommodation so varied and cheap as Siem Reap where low-end boutique hotels can come as little as $10 per night. But I would personally prefer to splurge given the opportunity on some of the high-end yet affordable luxuries the destination has to offer. For this post, my top 10 boutique hotels in Siem Reap, I’ll start at the top working down to the budget. When it comes to location, however, there isn’t much between them. Given there’s a good chance of being there to explore Angkor and Angkor Wat this tends to be done on taxi or tuk-tuk tours (check here for our introduction to Angkor: small circuit and grand circuit loops). But it is possible to cycle to the compound so I’ve included the distances to Angkor Wat starting from our top boutique hotels in Siem Reap. Note there are no hotels located within the Angkor Archaeological Park.

Among the options for excursions are day trips to a number of lesser known beach resorts found outside of the popular tourist areas.
